#47 HURRICANE LOSS

These items were already destined for the dump which is farther than my golf cart can travel, so they have been sitting in wait, taking up room. Then hurricane Milton made mincemeat of the contents of my storage room, blowing out the double doors, and blowing half the wall of windows. So the King size mattress topper below became soaked and eventually stinky. So I decided my best option was to tear apart the mattress foam and dispose of it one garbage bag at a time in my neighborhood dumpsters. After many weeks all the foam is gone.
Also in the photo are items that must go to the county landfill (dump): a non-working shredder, a flashlight with dead batteries inside that I can't open, a dead laptop battery that kinda blew up, and a dead rechargeable battery for a leaf blower. Incidentally, the replacement battery I'd just bought was soaked in the hurricane. So now two Black and Decker batteries must go... unless they can be recycled. 
The last bag of foam is gone.
